Local councils to be banned from using spy-cam CCTV cars

Following numerous complains from drivers all across the UK, government ministers have revealed plans to reconsider parking rules and outlaw “unfair” parking penalties used by many local authorities in order to bolster their finances.

According to a news report on this matter, Conservative party ministers plan to shake-up the parking rules in order to help local, high-street shops, which are often directly affected by the councils’ “unacceptable and aggressive” fine collection practices.

As a part of the new parking enforcement guidelines, transport authorities will be expected to scrap yellow lines deemed “unnecessary” or unpopular with local residents, while also giving up on other measures, such as cars equipped with spy-cams.

Longer periods for payments for parking fines will also be considered.
