Forest Gate Hotel in Newham, London, set to install CCTV for tackling anti-social behaviour

Owners of the Forest Gate Hotel, located on Godwin Road, Newham, London, have been ordered by the local council to install a CCTV surveillance system in order to tackle the numerous drugs and violence issues generated around it.

According to a news report, the hotel was the subject of a premises licence review presented to a Newham Council sub-committee on April 16. During this review, it’s been clearly mentioned that the hotel is linked to drugs supply and use leading to a high number of noise complaints in the area.

Following this review, the hotel was ordered to introduce new measures such as CCTV cameras, prominent anti-drug use signs, a proof of age scheme, door supervisors, and staff training.
