Hull street affected by antis-social behaviour denied CCTV due to running costs

A Hull street affected by serious anti-social behaviour has been denied the installation of a CCTV system to the costs involved, a news report in the local media has been able to suggest.

People living in Linnaeus Street and Walker Street say there are frequent burglaries, drug use and problems with speeding vehicles, including near Adelaide Primary School.

Walker Street resident, Chris Bird, 80, said: “I’ve been speaking to the council about getting CCTV here for about ten years and had no luck. They always just say it’s not cost- effective.”
