CCTV surveillance camera to be relocated for optimum efficiency

A CCTV surveillance camera in Highfield is set to be relocated in order to optimize its efficiency in dealing with local crime concerns, a news report was able to reveal.

Residents of Victoria Mews and Victoria Court, Highfield, Keighley, raised serious concerns about drug activity on the estate.

Keighley town councillor Amjid Ahmed, who lives in the estate, revealed that the area had suffered from drug dealing and anti-social behavior for the last three to four years.

A Bradford Council spokesman said: “We are investigating the possibility of changing the location of a CCTV camera in Victoria Mews, Keighley, to make it more effective in dealing with the issues that have been raised by local residents.”
