CCTV system set up to protect Biggleswade cemetery against vandals

A new CCTV surveillance system has been put in place in order to protect a Biggleswade cemetery against vandalism, a news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

The Biggleswade Local Policing Team received a number of reports in recent weeks saying that vandals had targeted a number of gravestones in the town’s Stratton Way Cemetery. As a direct result, the PCSOs and the Special Constabulary have increased patrols in the area and Biggleswade Town Council has installed a CCTV camera in the road leading to the cemetery.
