Mobile CCTV cameras in Bournemouth record 1,400 incidents

Bournemouth’s six mobile CCTV cameras have recorded more than 1,400 incidents since their introduction two years ago, a news report reveals.

The cameras were installed throughout no less than 55 different locations across the town and captured a range of offences, including assault, public disorder, burglary, theft and kerb-crawling.

Beside these mobile CCTV cameras, Bournemouth also offers a wide range of fixed CCTV cameras. The two networks, combined, have resulted in 2,829 people being charged during 2011/12 and 2012/13.
