Regional approach to CCTV monitoring considered in North Wales

A move to cut surveillance-related costs across North Wales by centralizing the monitoring activities for town centres in the region will be taken into consideration by Wrexham councillors.

It follows an extensive study carried out throughout the 6 local authorities in the area and, if given the green light, will most likely lead to a reduction in the number of monitoring rooms, from the current 6 to just 2.

The aforementioned report also concluded that, while the number of cameras operating in the region is fairly large (a total of 92 units), the recording equipment itself is obsolete and requires an urgent overhaul and upgrade to a digital format.

CCTV Surveillance offers a wide range of digital cameras available in various types and sizes (from Digital CCTV Bullet Cameras to Infra-red CCTV Cameras), but also quite an extensive range of DVRs. It’s important to point out that all of the DVRs supplied by CCTV Surveillance support long-term, continuous high quality digital CCTV recording, being able to securely store footage for several CCTV cameras found on the network.

Additionally, the company’s CCTV systems are designed to fully integrate with computer systems running CCTV Surveillance’s dedicated CCTV software, which makes it easier to integrate and control a large number of cameras from a single location.
